Suzy Sikorski. Founder and Director of Mid East Art

Originally from New York, Suzy is a Fulbright Scholar to the UAE (2016-2017), with expertise in 20th and 21st Century Middle Eastern art history. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree at Fordham University and thesis on Emirati pioneer artist Hassan Sharif (1951-2016).

Suzy’s extensive work across commercial and curatorial sectors is also demonstrated through her work as Christie’s Art Specialist Business Getter in Post-War Contemporary Art, based out of Dubai since 2017, where she is dedicated to building auctions, private selling exhibitions and valuations in the region and abroad.

She travels extensively throughout the Middle East region and abroad, with nearly a decade of residing in Dubai. She has participated in panels at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston; The Courtald Institute, London; Misk Art Foundation, Riyadh; Qatar Foundation, Doha; Mohammed Bin Rashed Library, Dubai; among others.

Her articles have been published in arts magazines such as Canvas; Harpers Bazaar Art Arabia; ArtAsiaPacific; Tribe Photography Magazine; The National. She has contributed several artist biographies to Oxford University Press: Benezit Dictionary of Artists.
